I was able to use it smoothly.
The name display was also casually convenient.
I'm glad I bought it.
Just used these on a 3wk trip to Europe — 8 flights… Each time the bag popped out onto the luggage carousel the straps were fully intact. Fully adjustable. I tried them on my large cases, then ended up using them on my small 10” cases.
Ever grab the wrong bag from the airport baggage carousel? I have, and I'm sure a lot of others have too!
This strap will secure your bag with a TSA approved lock and an additional strap that links to the main one.
The bright blue color stands out, making it easy to pick your luggage out of the crowd.
There is also a clear pocket that holds an identification card for you to fill out.
We fly often, and I'm sure this luggage strap set will be really useful!
These fit easily and are highly visible — my primary reason for wanting them. I generally avoid checking my luggage. However, on my most recent trip I was required to gate check because of limited overhead storage on small planes. Finding my luggage on the carousel among all the lookalikes is an unnecessary annoyance after hours of flying and making connections.
I found the instructions easy with regard to changing the combination. Just flip over the lock housing and move the lever from position A to B, make the change and put the lever back in position A. Takes seconds.
According to the directions, there is a red indicator that is visible if TSA opens the lock, which can then be restored to green. I can’t find the indicator but don’t think it’s very important.
As for security from thieves, I would not rely on straps that can easily be cut. The straps will at best slow someone down. I know of no straps that are cut-proof. The security they provide is primarily against zippers opening and spilling contents.
Also note that these are not useful for compressing a bulging suitcase. They tighten but have no ratcheting feature. Still, these do what Inwant them to do.
